There are many ways to use shapes – you can frame text objects or charts, create different sections in a project, as well as place emphasis on specific parts of the canvas. Make sure you are benefiting from all of the options available, and keep in mind that shapes can be used only in template projects.
Creating a shape
To add a shape to your project, click on the Add shape button on the left sidebar and choose one of the available options.
Try out all of the editing possibilities in the right side panel. You can resize and rotate the shape, as well as alter its corner radius and level of transparency. It is also possible to change the color of the shape and its border.
Changing shape type
You can change the type of your shape with a single click. Click on the shape icon below Shape type in the settings panel and select a different style. As the shape changes, the formatting remains intact.
Adding tooltip text to a shape
Tooltips are text boxes that appear when hovering over a specific element of the project, in this case, a shape. They are great for providing additional information and insights.
To add a tooltip to your shape, click inside the textbox below Tooltip text and type in the text that you wish to see appear.
Adding a link to a shape
You may also link the shape you have created to any webpage or another page of the same project. To do so, click on the Add link button at the bottom of the settings panel and type in a URL or add a link to another page.
Connecting shapes
Connect shapes to create flow diagrams, organizational charts, and link objects that are correlated.
To do so, click on one of the connector points on either of the four sides of a shape and drag the arrow towards the shape that you want to connect it to. Then connect it to one of the nine connection points that are displayed on the other shape.
