Who can use this feature?
You can now make your dashboards, reports, and slides even more interactive by adding hyperlinks to specific tabs of your maps and charts. Create custom navigation buttons for your dashboards, or provide detailed insights on specific parts of your maps or charts—the possibilities are endless. Check out the steps below to get started!
Linking text objects, graphics, and shapes to tabs
- Click on an object to select it.
- Click Add link in the settings panel on the right.
- In the pop-up window, select Add link to open chart/map tab.
- From the dropdown menu, select the chart or map you want to use. You can add links to the maps and charts that are on the same page.

- Open the spreadsheet of your map/chart by double-clicking on it or by clicking Edit data in the settings panel on the right.
- Right-click on the cell you wish to add the link to.
- Select Add/change link.
- In the pop-up window, select Add link to open chart/map tab.
- From the dropdown menu, select the chart or map you want to use. You can add links to the maps and charts that are on the same page.
- Select the specific tab from the dropdown. Click Apply.
Connecting charts and maps by their tab names
If you have several charts/maps in your project, you can link them together by their tab names to make it easier to navigate your project. There are two ways to do this:
- When adding a hyperlink to a specific tab, you can check the box next to Link all project charts by tab name in the pop-up window.
- Go to the settings panel on the right (without any object selected on the canvas), expand the Viewer experience tab, and check the box next to Link charts by tab name.
Hiding the tabs of charts/maps
You might also want to hide the tabs of your charts and maps if you have many of them and if you've added links to the tabs.
- Select a chart or map by clicking on it.
- Click on the Chart properties (or Map properties) tab in the settings panel on the right.
- Toggle on the Hide tabs option.
