A tooltip is a text element that appears when hovering over an object with your mouse cursor. When sharing your visualizations online, tooltips can provide additional context on data, as well as make it easier for the viewers to grasp the information shared by you.
Using tooltips with charts
If you're using a chart, tooltips will display the indicators that you've added in the datasheet. For example, if you hover over a bar of a bar chart, the tooltip will show the name of the entry and the indicator attached to it.
Using tooltips with maps
By default, maps display the Value, Group, and Label in the tooltip. If you make any changes in the cells of the respective columns, they will appear in the tooltip.
Using tooltips with graphics and shapes
You can also use tooltips on other objects available within the editor: icons, images, stickers, GIFs, flags, and shapes. To add a tooltip to one of these, click on it and add the text in the settings panel on the right under Tooltip text.
