Upload custom map files to your library and use them in your Infogram projects. You can upload JSON, GeoJSON, KML, or TopoJSON files that do not exceed 10MB.
Who can use this feature?
Pick a file to upload
- Select Add map in the toolbar on the left of the editor.
- Select Custom, then Upload.
- Pick the file you want to use, then Open.
Set the parameters of your map
Select the parameters that will be used to visualize your map. Use the preview to see how your selection adjusts the map.
- ID. The option you pick here will be used to map your data. Switch between the available options to divide your map into individual areas or grouped areas.
- Group. The option you select here will be used to arrange the data entries into groups. Hover the mouse cursor over the preview to see the group you've selected.
- Label. Labels are displayed in the tooltips that appear when hovering over a map. You can use the label to display the same value as the ID or pick one of the other options. Labels can also be renamed after you upload the map.
Once you're all set, select Import.
Your map will now be available under the Custom tab. Read more on map editing in the step-by-step guides of the Maps section.
