Changing the background of your project in Infogram is as easy as 1, 2, 3. To get started, there are three different background options to choose from:
Use a solid color for the background
- Click out of any selected objects and head over to the Settings panel on the right.
- Click on the square next to Background color and choose a color from the available color set. You can also enter a specific hex color code or use the color picker.
Add an image to the background
- Click out of any selected objects and head over to the Settings panel on the right.
- Click on Add background image. Choose an image from the media library or upload your own (up to 10 MB in size). It's possible to use JPG, PNG, and SVG files, with the latter providing the highest quality outcome.
- You can adjust image transparency and blur by using the sliders in the Settings panel, or change the image by clicking on Change image.
There's also an option to add filters to your background image. To do so, click on the Filter & adjust button in the Settings panel. Then select the filter you wish to use and adjust it to your liking under the Adjust tab.
- To remove the background image simply click on the X button next to Change image.
You can also upload an image via the graphics gallery if you want to place the image in a particular location on the canvas.
- Click on Add Graphics in the toolbar on the left.
- Search a keyword or upload an image from your computer (up to 10 MB).
- Add the image to the canvas and resize it by dragging its corners inwards or outwards.
- Right-click the image and select the option to Move to back.
You can click the image thumbnail in the right side settings panel to switch to a different image.
Add a shape background to charts, maps, and other elements
- Click on the Add shape button in the toolbar on the left, choose a shape and drag and drop it onto the canvas.
- Resize the shape by dragging its corners.
- Right-click the shape and choose the option Move to back to move the shape to the background layer.
- Adjust the level of transparency of the shape by using the slider in the Settings panel on the right.
Note: If you are working on a responsive web and mobile layout project, the only option to change the background color is by toggling to a different theme design. For more information, you can check out the article on changing the project theme.
